Public calls for service ring at the county PSAP located at the St. Francis County Sheriff’s Office in Forrest City. The Wheatley Marshal Service also has its own non-emergency number.
Radio traffic includes a mixture of 10 codes and plain English. The Arkansas State Police phonetic alphabet is used.
The communications center answers to either “dispatch” or “county.” Wheatley marshals use 900 series callsigns.
The Wheatley Marshal Service is dispatching on St. Francis County Sheriff Office’s talkgroup on the county’s MOTOTRBO Capacity Plus system, operating under FCC callsign WSEC644. The antenna is about 100 feet above the ground on a water tower in Forrest City.
Wheatley Marshals also use SFCSO’s AWIN talkgroup interchangeably with their talkgroup on the CAP+ system.
