Public calls for service ring at the county PSAP located at the St. Francis County Sheriff’s Office in Forrest City. The Palestine Police Department also has its own non-emergency number.
Radio traffic includes a mixture of 10 codes and plain English. The Arkansas State Police phonetic alphabet is used.
The communications center answers to either “dispatch” or “county.” Palestine Police officers use 800 series callsigns.
The Palestine Police Department is dispatching on St. Francis County Sheriff Office’s talkgroup on the county’s MOTOTRBO Capacity Plus system, operating under FCC callsign WSEC644. The antenna is about 100 feet above the ground on a water tower in Forrest City.
Palestine PD also uses SFCSO’s AWIN talkgroup interchangeably with their talkgroup on the CAP+ system.
