Forrest City Fire Department
Public calls for service ring at the county PSAP located at the St. Francis County Sheriff’s Office in Forrest City. Forrest City Fire also has its own non-emergency number.
Radio traffic consists of plain English communication only.
The communications center answers to “dispatch.” As with most fire departments, callsigns are usually determined by the actual piece of equipment (such as “Engine 1” or “Rescue 2”).
The Forrest City Fire Department is dispatching on the county’s MOTOTRBO Capacity Plus system, operating under FCC callsign WSEC644. The antenna is about 100 feet above the ground on a water tower in Forrest City.
The system has three VHF frequencies and four talkgroups. It’s possible there are more talkgroups on this system that I have yet to find.
